The game in Manama supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Al-Ahli (4-1) played at the court of 6th ranked Al-Najma (2-2). Al-Ahli did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 87-67. Al-Ahli dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Al-Najma's 38. Al-Ahli forced 19 Al-Najma turnovers. American forward Quinton Doggett (206-90, college: Southern) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Hesham Sarhan (-92) accounted for 25 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Haminn Quaintance (203-85, college: Kent St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 20 rebounds and 7 assists and Qassim Hassan added 22 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for Al-Najma in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Al-Ahli. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Al-Nweidrat. Al-Najma at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Al-Ahli's next round opponent will be league's leader Al-Muharraq in Al Muharraq and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al-Najma will play on the road against Isa Town (#9) in Issa Town and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
