Regular Season Round 3: HBA-Marsky - Pyrinto II 79-61

Everything went according to plan in Helsinki where HBA-Marsky (3-0) beat Pyrinto II (0-2) 79-61 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-61. It was a great evening for guard Tomas Pihlajamaki (189-0) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Ville Tahvanainen (193-0) helped adding 11 points. The best for the losing side was American forward Damon Williams (201-73, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo, agency: Two Points) with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Eerik Harju (185-98) scored 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. HBA-Marsky will face Ura Basket (#4) in Kaarina in the next round. Pyrinto II will play at home against Lahti (#12) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
