There was no surprise in Uusikaupunki where 9th ranked UU-Korihait (1-3) was defeated by fourth ranked BC Nokia (3-1) 83-77. UU-Korihait was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 43-36 second half run of BC Nokia. 25 personal fouls committed by UU-Korihait helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American point guard Vincent Council (186-90, college: Providence) who scored that evening 21 points and 4 assists and center Daniel Dolenc (205-93) supported him with 17 points. Even a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Juan Pattillo (203-88, college: W.Kentucky) did not help to save the game for UU-Korihait. His fellow American import point guard Chaz Williams (175-91, college: Massachusetts, agency: Two Points) added 15 points and 6 assists for lost side. BC Nokia moved-up to third place. UU-Korihait at the other side keeps the ninth position with three games lost. BC Nokia's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Kouvot in Kouvola and it will be for sure the game of the week. UU-Korihait will play on the road against Lapuan Korikobrat (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
