Regular Season Round 3: Jamtland - Norrkoping 92-82

Date: October 13, 2017
No shocking result in a game when KFUM Jamtland (2-0) beat Norrkoping Dolphins (1-2) in Ostersund 92-82 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by KFUM Jamtland. Norrkoping Dolphins managed to win second period 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when KFUM Jamtland won last quarter 28-19. They made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. KFUM Jamtland outrebounded Norrkoping Dolphins 35-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for KFUM Jamtland especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American center William Paul (208-88, college: Arkansas Tech) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Estonian swingman Jaan Puidet (191-92) accounted for 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Gerry Blakes (193-93, college: Arizona St.) came up with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Mikael Lindquist (193-83) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for Norrkoping Dolphins in the defeat. Five KFUM Jamtland and four Norrkoping Dolphins players scored in double figures. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KFUM Jamtland will meet at home Uppsala Basket (#6) in the next round. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against Nassjo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
