Euromillions League top team - Oostende (4-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they beat sixth ranked Spirou Charleroi (1-2) 92-75. Oostende had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Serbian guard Dusan Djordjevic (193-83, agency: BeoBasket) who scored that evening 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international swingman Elias Lasisi (192-92) supported him with 16 points and 7 assists. Even 19 points by American Scott Thomas (198-89, college: Bowling Green) did not help to save the game for Spirou Charleroi. His fellow American import forward Seth Tuttle (203-92, college: N.Iowa) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Four Spirou Charleroi players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oostende have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record. Loser Spirou Charleroi keeps the sixth place with two games lost. They share the position with Brussels and Limburg United. Oostende will meet at home Liege Basket (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Spirou Charleroi will play against Kangoeroes in Willebroek and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
