Regular Season Round 1: Quimper - Le Havre 69-64

Quimper UJAP used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Le Havre 69-64 on Friday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But STB Le Havre won third quarter 15-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quimper UJAP made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Kevin Mondesir (204-91) fired 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American center Demarco Cox (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Stacy Davis (198-94, college: Pepperdine) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and American-Swedish point guard Omar Krayem (186-88, college: Cal.Baptist) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Quimper UJAP will face JA Vichy (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. STB Le Havre will play against Poitiers (#16) and hope to win that game.
