Regular Season Round 32: KIU Titans - UCU Canons 37-57

The most important game in the last round took place in Kampala between third ranked KIU Titans (11-5) and fourth ranked UCU Canons (12-5) on Friday night. KIU Titans were crushed by UCU Canons at home 57-37. The game without a history. UCU Canons led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding KIU Titans to just 6 points in third quarter. UCU Canons held KIU Titans to an opponent 20.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 37.5 percent accuracy of the winners. UCU Canons had a 37-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Brian Namake (-90) who helped to win the game recording 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and center Lual Titus (-98) who added 13 points during the contest. Guard Chris Omanye (183-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and guard Micheal Bwanga scored 8 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UCU Canons moved-up to third place. KIU Titans at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. UCU Canons will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KIU Titans will play against Nkumba M. (#12) and are hoping to win this game.
