There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked La Charite (2-2) beat higher ranked Brissac-Aubance (2-2) in Brissac-Quince 78-74 on Saturday. Strangely Brissac-Aubance outrebounded La Charite 43-24 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Vincent Fandelet (197-92) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds. American point guard Austen Rowland (186-81, college: Lehigh, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four La Charite players scored in double figures. Senegalese center Moise Diame (206-86) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Mali swingman Sourata Cisse (196-86) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Brissac-Aubance. La Charite moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Brissac-Aubance. La Charite will face higher ranked Vendee Challans (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
