Very important is a home loss of second ranked Musel Pikes (3-2) against tenth ranked Residence (2-3) on Saturday night. Host Musel Pikes was defeated by Residence in Stadrbredimus 95-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Musel Pikes. Residence made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Residence had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Residence especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. The former international forward Oliver Vujakovic (192-96) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and American guard Austin Freeman (194-89, college: Georgetown) chipped in 24 points and 9 rebounds. Four Residence players scored in double figures. American swingman Jarmar Gulley (196-91, college: Missouri St.) responded with 28 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Michael Nwelue (195-93, college: Drury) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Residence moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Sparta. Musel Pikes at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Residence will meet at home league's leader Basket Esch in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Musel Pikes will play against Contern and hope to secure a win.
