Regular Season Round 4: IK Eos - Lulea Basket 78-89

Undefeated leader Lulea Basket delivered the fourth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 5th ranked IK Eos (1-3) 89-78 in Lund. The game was mostly controlled by Lulea Basket. IK Eos managed to win third quarter 23-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international forward Anna Barthold (185-80, college: St.Peter's) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her ten free throws !!!) and American forward Katherine Frerking (185-95, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) who added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five Lulea Basket players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Breonna Mosely (173-93, college: Kennesaw St.) responded with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Austrian Georgia De-Leeuw (175-90) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Lulea Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Telge. Loser IK Eos dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with AIK Basket. Lulea Basket will meet at home league's second-placed Telge in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. IK Eos will play against Udominate (#3) in Umea and hope to win that game.
