Regular Season Round 3: Hitachi Cougars - Yamanashi QB 83-69

No shocking result in a game in Hitachinaka where Hitachi Cougars (2-1) defeated Yamanashi QB (0-3) 83-69. It looked good early as Yamanashi QB took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hitachi Cougars had a 26-16 second period charge getting the lead and Yamanashi QB was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-83. Hitachi Cougars forced 25 Yamanashi QB turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Chika Suzuki (183-93) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Yagi Kasumi (163-92) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Power forward Shihorei Tsuda (168-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and guard Uchibori Murasaki (165-94) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Yamanashi QB in the defeat. Four Yamanashi QB players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hitachi Cougars' next round opponent will be again Yamanashi QB (#11) at home and are hoping to win another game.
