Regular Season Round 3: Aros Patatas - Oviedo 72-49

Aros Patatas (3-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed Oviedo (0-3) in Leon 72-49. The game was mostly controlled by Aros Patatas. Oviedo was better in third quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aros Patatas held Oviedo to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.6 percent accuracy of the winners. It was a great evening for power forward Itsaso Conde (185-96) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Marta Canella (178-95) helped adding 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was center Carolina Ramos (190-93) with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Danish swingman Anne Pedersen (185-92, college: LSU) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aros Patatas will face Real Celta Vigo on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Oviedo will play against Rioja (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
