Top ranked Kyoto Hannar. (4-2) recorded its second loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Nishinomiya S. (1-5) 79-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kyoto Hannar.. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-11. But Kyoto Hannar. won third quarter 18-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nishinomiya S. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Kyoto Hannar.'s 22 and made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Nishinomiya S. forced 20 Kyoto Hannar. turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) helped adding 23 points. At the losing side the former international guard Yusuke Okada (185-84) responded with 27 points and Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 12 points. Kyoto Hannar.'s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nishinomiya S. left bottom position moving up to fifth place. Kyoto Hannar. at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
