Very important is a home loss of third ranked Samorin (2-2) against top-ranked Piestanske C. (2-0) on Saturday night. Host Samorin was crushed by Piestanske C. in Samorin 85-53. Piestanske C. dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Samorin's 32. They outrebounded Samorin 37-15 including a 29-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of center Ivana Jakubcova (198-94, college: USC) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and the former international Terezia Palenikova (178-95) who added 13 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Piestanske C. will play against league's second-placed MBK Ruzomberok at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
