Regular Season Round 3: Saitama Bron. - Tokyo Cinq R. 96-99

A very close game took place in Saitama (derby !!!) between Tokyo Cinq R. and Saitama Broncos. Tokyo Cinq R. (1-5) got a very close victory on the road over Saitama Broncos (4-2). Tokyo Cinq R. managed to escape with a 3-point win 99-96 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 30-20 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Tokyo Cinq R. made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 49 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Point guard Yamaguchi Kenzu (182-94) helped adding 15 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Ferrakohn Hall (203-90, college: Memphis) with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Senegalese forward Ibrahima Thomas (213-87, college: Cincinnati) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Four Saitama Broncos players scored in double figures. Saitama Broncos' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Tokyo Cinq R. will meet at home Kagoshima (#5) in the next round. Saitama Broncos will play against Tokyo HT and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
