Another exciting game where Tokyo HT (5-1) edged by two points Tokyo Excel. (4-2) 70-68. The guests were already 12 points ahead at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 23-12 last quarter charge of Tokyo Excel. cut the lead to 70-68 at the end of the game. It was a good game for American power forward Edward Morris (204-84, college: Pittsburg St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Guard Hiroya Oogane (180-89) contributed with 12 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. Tokyo HT's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) added 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Tokyo Excel.Tokyo HT will play against Saitama Broncos (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
