Regular Season Round 5: COB - Carbajosa 73-77

Everything went according to plan in Ourense where leader Carbajosa (3-0) won against bottom-ranked COB (0-3) 77-73 on Saturday. COB was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 21-15 charge of Carbajosa, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Nigerian forward Enuoma Ebinum (206, college: Bowie St.) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Jalen Pendleton (188-93, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Center Pablo Roman (206-95) produced 13 points and 7 rebounds and Daniel Fernandez (195-99) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four COB players scored in double figures. Carbajosa have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Carbajosa maintains first place in Group A-B with 3-0 record, which they share with Leon and Ponferrada CDP. Loser COB still closes the standings with three games lost. Carbajosa will face bottom-ranked Rosalia (#10) in Santiago de Camp. in the next round and are hoping to win another game. COB will play on the road against Coruna II and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
