Regular Season Round 3: Borea - Peja 68-75

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Peja: Peja (#5) and Borea (#7). Borea was defeated at home 68-75 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Peja forced 26 Borea turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for international point guard Leonard Mekaj (182-95) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 14 assists. International guard Arian Qallaku (195-92) accounted for 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Four Peja players scored in double figures. Power forward Allen Idrizaj (196-88) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and Slovenian swingman Ardit Beqiri (193-95) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Borea in the defeat. Peja will meet at home Rahoveci (#5) in the next round. Borea will play against Kerasan in Prishtina and hopes to get finally their first victory.
