Regular Season Round 6: Centrum - Gimle BBK 78-95

Bottom-ranked Centrum (0-6) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to third ranked Gimle BBK (4-3) 95-78. The game without a history. Gimle BBK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Centrum's 40. American forward Lorenzo Cugini (198-93, college: High Point) notched 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) supported him with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Four Gimle BBK players scored in double figures. Even 29 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists by guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) did not help to save the game for Centrum. Guard Sander Aslesen (196-96) added 14 points. Centrum's coach Inge-Aleksander Kristiansen rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory Gimle BBK went down to fourth position due to points difference, which they share with Ammerud Bskt. Defending champion Centrum still closes the standings with six games lost. Gimle BBK will play against league's leader Asker Aliens at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Centrum will have a break next round.
