Regular Season Round 7: Hitachi SR - Nagoya DD 87-81

Everything could happen in Tokyo at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers and 5th ranked Diamond Dolphins had identical 1-3 record. This time Hitachi Sunrockers used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Nagoya 87-81 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 22-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Hitachi Sunrockers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Diamond Dolphins' 40. Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) fired 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and international guard Shuto Ando (189-94) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Five Hitachi Sunrockers and four Diamond Dolphins players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hitachi Sunrockers (2-3) moved-up to third place, which they share with Tochigi Brex and Shimane SM. Diamond Dolphins lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
