Regular Season Round 11: Thang Long W. - Can Tho CF 87-90

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Thang Long W. (7-3) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by third ranked Can Tho CF (7-4) 90-87. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Thang Long W.. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Thang Long W. won third quarter 26-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Can Tho CF looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Can Tho CF made 7 blocks. American power forward DeAngelo Hamilton (203-90, college: Washington St., agency: Inception Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 21 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 blocks. Dinh Thanh contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Can Tho CF players scored in double figures. American power forward Jaywuan Hill (203-89, college: SW Baptist) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized American power forward Justin Young (201, college: Cal Poly Pomona) added 29 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Thang Long W.Can Tho CF have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Thang Long W. still keeps top position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
