Regular Season Round 5: Roser - Quart 49-62

The game between closely ranked teams ended with thirteenth ranked Quart's (1-2) road victory over bottom-ranked Roser (0-4) 62-49 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 13 points. Quart dominated on the defensive end, holding Roser to just 5 points in fourth quarter and to 13 points in second half. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Roser's 22. Quart forced 23 Roser turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Alberto Coderch-Porras (190-94, college: Webber Intern.) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Forward Eduard Camos (193-90) chipped in 15 points. Benjamin Palmer produced 13 points and point guard Aleix Pujadas (195-96) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Quart left bottom position moving up to tenth place in Group C-A. It was Roser's fourth loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with four games lost. Quart will face higher ranked AEC Collblanc (#7) in L´Hospitalet in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Roser will play on the road against Castelldefels (#6) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
