Regular Season Round 3: JyWe - Aalto-Basket 89-86

Date: October 14, 2017
Rather predictable result in Jyvaskyla where JyWe (2-1) edged Aalto-Basket (0-3) 89-86 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Aalto-Basket won third quarter 25-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American point guard Glenn Stokes (170-76, college: American) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 6 assists. Bahamas forward Winslo Barry (208-90, college: Incarnate Word) helped adding 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was Oliver Kaisti with 23 points and forward Matti Hautala (194-94) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Five JyWe and four Aalto-Basket players scored in double figures. Aalto-Basket's coach Jouko Heiskanen tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. JyWe will face MuKi in Helsinki in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aalto-Basket will play at home against HyPo (#12) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
