Regular Season Round 4: Akropol - KFUM Uppsala 64-75

KFUM Uppsala has registered their first victory this season after two consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Stockholm, where they defeated Akropol (0-3) 75-64. The game was mostly controlled by KFUM Uppsala. Akropol was better in third quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KFUM Uppsala had a 42-28 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for guard Samuel-Eliasson Godonou (185-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Swingman Linus Brandin (196-0) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four KFUM Uppsala players scored in double figures. Guard Robiel Gebriel (183-96) replied with 15 points and 7 assists and guard David Leal (188-98) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Akropol. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. KFUM Uppsala (1-2) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Sundsvall and Haga BG. It was Akropol's third loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with three games lost. KFUM Uppsala's next round opponent will be KFUM Central (#7) in Stockholm. Akropol will play on the road against AIK II in Solna and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
