Regular Season Round 3: Bertram Tortona - Eurobasket Roma 82-73

Bertram Tortona (3-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat Eurobasket Roma (1-2) 82-73. It was a good game for American guard Melvin Johnson (193-93, college: VCU) who led his team to a victory with 21 points. Lithuanian Paulius Sorokas (202-92, agency: Players Group) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Alessandro Piazza (175-87) answered with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Eurobasket Roma. Five Bertram Tortona and four Eurobasket Roma players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bertram Tortona will face Agrigento (#5) at home in the next round. Eurobasket Roma will play against Givova Scafati (#3) and hope to win that game.
