Regular Season Round 4: Flammes - Roche 73-66
Date: October 14, 2017
Bottom-ranked Roche (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 73-66 loss to second ranked Flammes (3-1) in Charleville on Saturday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Flammes outrebounded Roche 30-15 including 23 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Brazilian center Clarissa Dos-Santos (184-88, agency: ProDep Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and international guard Amel Bouderra (160-89) who added 25 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Serbian swingman Milica Ivanovic (180-88, college: Catawba, agency: LBM Management) responded with 18 points and point guard Caroline Heriaud (165-96) scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Flammes have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 3-1 record having just one point less than leader Lattes Montp., which they share with Landes. Newly promoted Roche still closes the standings with four games lost. Flammes will meet Lyon (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Roche will play against Villeneuve D'Ascq and hopes to get finally their first victory.
