Regular Season Round 3: ADBA - Barca CBS 70-64

There was a small surprise in Aviles where ADBA (1-2) defeated Barca CBS (1-2) 70-64 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 42-35 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American forward Ashley Beals (183, college: Miss.Valley St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Isis Thorpe (173-95, college: VCU) helped adding 17 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Laura Johnson (182-91, college: Sioux Falls) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Lucia Pablos (172-85, college: Northeastern) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Barca CBS's coach Mateo Rubio tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. ADBA will face Cortegada (#5) in Vilagarcia Arousa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
