Regular Season Round 3: NPC Rieti - Eurotrend Biella 84-88

There was a small surprise when Eurotrend Biella (2-1) beat on the road NPC Rieti (1-1) 88-84 on Sunday. It was a good game for American point guard Jazzmarr Ferguson (185-89, college: IU Southeast) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 8 assists. Power forward Giorgio Sgobba (202-92, agency: Players Group) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American-Nigerian guard Zaid Hearst (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) answered with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Chris Davenport (203-94, college: N.Florida) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for NPC Rieti. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. NPC Rieti's coach Luciano Nunzi tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Eurotrend Biella will face Legnano (#6) in Castellanza in the next round. NPC Rieti will play on the road against Viola RC (#13) in Reggio Calabria and hope to win that game.
