Regular Season Round 4: Aishin AW - Chanson V-M 44-82

Bottom-ranked Aishin Wings is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fourth ranked Chanson V-M (3-1) 82-44 on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Chanson V-M led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Aishin Wings to just 7 points in second quarter. Chanson V-M held Aishin Wings to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 46.9 percent accuracy of the winners and made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Chanson V-M outrebounded Aishin Wings 55-27 including a 38-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by international forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) who scored that evening 15 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and Ayane Itani (173-95) supported her with 6 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Four Chanson V-M players scored in double figures. Even 7 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals by Kiho Miyashita (178-98) did not help to save the game for Aishin Wings. Forward Naoko Chikahira (180-93) added 7 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chanson V-M have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 3-1 record, which they share with Denso Iris and Hitachi Cougars. Loser Aishin Wings still closes the standings with four games lost.
