Regular Season Round 4: Hitachi Cougars - Yamanashi QB 66-59

Bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to seventh ranked Hitachi Cougars (3-1) 66-59. The game without a history. Hitachi Cougars led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Hitachi Cougars brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Chika Suzuki (183-93) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Reika Takahashi (177-88) who added 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Uchibori Murasaki (165-94) responded with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Misa Yokoi (170-88) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hitachi Cougars moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Chanson V-M and Denso Iris. Yamanashi QB at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Hitachi Cougars will play against league's second-placed JX-Eneos S. in Kashiwa in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Yamanashi QB will play at home against Aishin Wings (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
