Regular Season Round 3: BM Slam Stal - Czarni 76-74

A very interesting game took place in Ostrow Wlkp.. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of Czarni (1-2) to BM Slam Stal (1-1) 76-74 on Sunday evening. Czarni was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 17-14 charge of BM Slam Stal, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Aaron Johnson (173-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists. Croatian forward Jure Skific (202-88, agency: 011 Sports) accounted for 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. BM Slam Stal's coach Emil Rajkovic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Dominic Artis (192-93, college: UTEP) came up with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import swingman Justin Watts (196-90, college: N.Carolina, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 16 points respectively for Czarni in the defeat. Four Czarni players scored in double figures. BM Slam Stal's next round opponent will be Legia (#17) in Warszawa which should be theoretically an easy game. Czarni will play at home against Legia (#17) and hope to win that game.
