Regular Season Round 6: Fyllingen BBK - Tromso 89-63

Very expected game when 8th ranked Tromso (2-4) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Fyllingen BBK (4-1) 89-63 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Fyllingen BBK. Tromso managed to win third quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fyllingen BBK dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Tromso's 26. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Ognjen Nisavic (195-92) who scored 26 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. American-Nigerian forward Patrick Onwenu (198-93, college: Alcorn St.) chipped in 27 points and 7 rebounds. Four Fyllingen BBK players scored in double figures. Fyllingen BBK's coach Tore Ervik felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Aslak Smalas (186-89) who recorded 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Anders Solem (196-92) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Fyllingen BBK moved-up to second place. Tromso at the other side keeps the eighth position with four games lost. Fyllingen BBK will meet at home league's leader Asker Aliens in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tromso will play against Ammerud Bskt (#4) and hope to secure a win.
