Regular Season Round 3: Valmontone - Patti 111-71

Date: October 15, 2017
No shocking result in a game when Valmontone (2-1) outleveled at home Patti (0-3) 111-71 on Sunday. Valmontone made 39-of-51 free shots (76.5 percent) during the game, while Patti only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Patti 46-22 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Valmontone looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Patti was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for power forward Innocenzo Ferraro (200-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Simone Rischia (185-90) helped adding 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Valmontone players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Andrea Locci (203-93) with 17 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Luca Fowler (192-96) scored 18 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Valmontone will face Palestrina (#6) in Roma in the next round. Patti will play at home against Roma Luiss (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
