The game in Rotterdam supposed to be also worth to mention about. Groningen (2-1) played at the court of Rotterdam (0-3). Groningen smashed Rotterdam 108-68. The game without a history. Groningen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 63.3 percent from the field. Groningen shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Rotterdam's players. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Brandyn Curry (187-91, college: Harvard) who led the winners and scored 28 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Sean Cunningham (188-86, college: Cal-Riverside) accounted for 15 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side. Five Groningen players scored in double figures. American swingman Trevor Setty (203-89, college: Pikeville) came up with 16 points and the other American import forward Chris Commons (206-84, college: USC Aiken) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for Rotterdam in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Groningen will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rotterdam will play on the road against Leeuwarden (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
