Very important is a road loss of second ranked Puente Alto (3-3) against sixth ranked Tinguiririca S.F. (2-4) on Sunday night. Visiting Puente Alto was defeated by Tinguiririca S.F. in San Fernando 73-62. Tinguiririca S.F. forced 24 Puente Alto turnovers. Venezuelan guard Michael Flores (192-85) notched 26 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and Venezuelan forward Derwin Ramirez (191-82) supported him with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 22 points and 7 rebounds by the former international point guard Claudio Gallardo (180-87) did not help to save the game for Puente Alto. American forward Aaron Ross (203-92, college: Texas Tech) added 9 points and 6 rebounds. Puente Alto's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Tinguiririca S.F. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with CD Castro. Loser Puente Alto keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with CDU Concepcion and Los Leones. Tinguiririca S.F. will meet league's leader Las Animas in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Puente Alto will play against Osorno Basquetbol and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
