Regular Season Round 4: Trelleborg - IK Eos 79-84

Date: October 15, 2017
Bottom-ranked Trelleborg is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to seventh ranked IK Eos (2-2) 84-79. It looked good early as Trelleborg took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then IK Eos had a 27-16 second period charge getting the lead and Trelleborg was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-84. They outrebounded Trelleborg 42-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Marcus Dahlqvist (191-96) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Maxim Moracanin (199-96) who added 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Australian guard John Fitzgerald (193-84, college: Lindsey Wilson) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Mario Cooper (191-89) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Trelleborg players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. IK Eos moved-up to fifth place. Trelleborg at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. IK Eos will play against league's leader Djurgarden in Stockholm in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Trelleborg will play at home against the league's second-placed Koping Stars (#2) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
