Regular Season Round 5: Cantaires Tortosa - Sant Adria 64-77

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Cantaires Tortosa (1-3) was defeated at home by leader Sant Adria (4-0) 77-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Sant Adria. Cantaires Tortosa was better in fourth quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was center Oscar Amo (204-97) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Pau Ruzafa (180) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Five Sant Adria players scored in double figures. American forward Sean McDonnell (203, college: Westmont) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and Kiliam Riverol added 16 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Sant Adria have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group C-A with 4-0 record. Newly promoted Cantaires Tortosa dropped to the twelfth position with three games lost. Sant Adria will face Tarragona (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cantaires Tortosa will play against Girona Basquet and hope to win that game.
