Regular Season Round 3: Scandone AV - Fiat TO 72-63

The most surprising game was a loss of Fiat TO (2-1) in Avellino on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Scandone AV (2-1) 72-63. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-18. But Fiat TO won second period 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Fiat TO 35-22 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Uruguayan point guard Bruno Fitipaldo (183-91, agency: Pro Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 4 assists. American guard Dezmine Wells (196-92, college: Maryland) helped adding 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Scandone AV players scored in double figures. Scandone AV's coach Stefano Sacripanti used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American swingman Deron Washington (201-85, college: Virginia Tech) with 9 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 15 points. Scandone AV is looking forward to face The Flexx PT (#5) in Pistoia in the next round. Fiat TO will play at home against VL Pesaro and is hoping to win this game.
