Regular Season Round 3: Promete - Adelantados 54-67

But Promete was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from San Cristobal 67-54 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Adelantados. Promete was better in third quarter 17-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Promete 40-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward Caira Washington (188-95, college: G.Washington) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Point guard Laura Fernandez (169-89) helped adding 22 points. The best for the losing side was forward Laura Arroyo (181-91) with 8 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Paraguayan guard Claudia Aponte (175-91, agency: ProDep Management) scored 8 points. Promete's coach Jose Luis Ulecia tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Adelantados will face Adareva (#8) in Laguna in the next round. Promete will play on the road against Alcobendas (#10) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
