Hasharon used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Kiryat Motzkin 85-76. Hasharon forced 20 Maccabi K/M turnovers and outrebounded them 51-39 including 19 on the offensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Maccabi K/M helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Vernon Teel (193-87, college: Loyola Mary) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. His fellow American import power forward John Fields (205-88, college: Tennessee) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Hasharon's coach Hanan Hershkovich allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Lior Segev (180-83, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) answered with 14 points and 9 assists and naturalized Russian Igor Simin (199-84) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi K/M. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hasharon's next round opponent will be Elitzur Yavne (#8) on the road and are hoping to win another game.
