Regular Season Round 3: Valencia - Olimpico 64 79-49

Date: October 15, 2017
No shocking result in a game when Valencia (2-1) outleveled at home Olimpico 64 (0-3) 79-49 on Sunday. The game without a history. Valencia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Olimpico 64 to just 6 points in first quarter. Valencia dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpico 64's 12. Valencia forced 21 Olimpico 64 turnovers and outrebounded them 43-22 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Olimpico 64's players. It was a great evening for Mali power forward Meiya Tirera (186-86, agency: ProDep Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. Brazilian forward Isabela Ramona-Lyra (180-94) helped adding 11 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. The best for the losing side was power forward Julia Rabadan (180-86) with 14 points and Iranzu Drake scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Valencia will face Magec Tias (#6) in Las Palmas in the next round. Olimpico 64 will play at home against Leganes (#3) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
