Regular Season Round 3: Novipiu Casale - Viola RC 68-67

A very close game took place in Casale between Novipiu Casale and Viola RC. Novipiu Casale (3-0) got a very close home victory over Viola RC (1-2). Novipiu Casale managed to escape with a 1-point win 68-67 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Jamarr Sanders (193-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. The former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (203-89) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. American guard Chris Roberts (193-88, college: Bradley) came up with 16 points and naturalized Argentinian swingman Agustin Fabi (199-91) added 16 points respectively for Viola RC in the defeat. Viola RC's coach Marco Calvani rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Novipiu Casale will meet Remer Treviglio (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Viola RC will play against NPC Rieti and hope to win that game.
