Regular Season Round 4: Slask Wroclaw - Spojnia 94-100

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Spojnia (4-0) beat 7th ranked Slask (2-2) in Wroclaw 100-94 on Sunday. Spojnia made 28-of-31 free shots (90.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Slask was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for guard Marcin Dymala (187-90) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Karol Pytys (202-85) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Jan Grzelinski (180-94, college: Canisius) replied with 26 points, 8 assists and 4 steals and point guard Jakub Musial (183-98) added 19 points in the effort for Slask. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Slask's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Spojnia have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Polonia Leszno. Newly promoted Slask dropped to the eighth place with two games lost. Spojnia will face Enea Astoria (#7) in Bydgoszcz in the next round where they are favorite. Slask will play on the road against Notec Inowr. in Inowroclaw and hope to win that game.
