Regular Season Round 3: Anwil - Rosa 86-65

Anwil delivered the third consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed Rosa (1-1) 86-65 in Wloclawek. The game was mostly controlled by Anwil. Rosa managed to win third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rosa 42-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Cape Verdean-Portuguese Ivan Almeida (198-89, college: Stonehill) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. The former international point guard Kamil Laczynski (183-89) helped adding 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Anwil players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Kevin Punter (188-93, college: Tennessee) with 23 points and Czech Patrik Auda (206-89, college: Seton Hall, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anwil will meet PGE Turow (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rosa will play against Twarde Pierniki and hope to win that game.
