Regular Season Round 6: Fukuoka Rizing - Kanazawa Sam. 90-83

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Fukuoka. Top-ranked Fukuoka Rizing faced 4th ranked Kanazawa Sam.. Host Fukuoka Rizing (6-0) defeated guests from Ishikawa (3-3) 90-83. The best player for the winners was American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. The other American import forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) chipped in 29 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and guard Ide Yuji (181-88) added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fukuoka Rizing have an impressive six-game winning streak. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first position with 6-0 record, which they share with Akita NH. Kanazawa Sam. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the third place with three games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face league's second-placed Shinshu BW in Nagano in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
