Visby Ladies can celebrate their first win this season after one consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat KFUM Uppsala (0-4) 82-75. Visby Ladies players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Nici Gilday (175-92, college: Santa Clara) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. Canadian forward Rashida Timbilla (186-92, college: Massachusetts) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 23 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Louise Skyttevall (178-98) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Jalen OBannon (185-94, college: E.Kentucky) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for KFUM Uppsala. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Visby Ladies (1-1) left bottom position moving up to sixth place. Newly promoted KFUM Uppsala still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Norrkoping. Visby Ladies will play against AIK Basket (#7) in Solna in the next round. KFUM Uppsala will play at home against Norrkoping Dolphins and hopes to get finally their first victory.
