Very expected game in Zaragoza where 6th ranked Mann Filter (2-2) was defeated by top-ranked Gipuzkoa UPV (4-0) 73-68 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese power forward Oumoul Sarr (185-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and Argentinian Lyndra Weaver who added 15 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Shacobia Barbee (179-94, college: Georgia, agency: LBM Management) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Tamara Abalde (190-89, agency: ProDep Management) scored 17 points. Four Mann Filter players scored in double figures. Gipuzkoa UPV have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Avenida. Loser Mann Filter keeps the sixth place with two games lost. Gipuzkoa UPV will face Socinsa Bembibre (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Mann Filter will play against Campus Promete (#13) in Logrono and hope to win that game.
