No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Declercq Stortbeton (4-2) crushed 9th ranked Tulikivi (1-4) in Deerlijk 81-47 on Sunday. Declercq Stortbeton held Tulikivi to an opponent 23.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.7 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Tulikivi 53-29 including a 38-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American guard Jackie Nared (183-90, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Latvian guard Ance Aizsila (178-94, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Declercq Stortbeton players scored in double figures. Center Lore Capoen (185-93) replied with 12 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Nele Poffyn (173-91) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Tulikivi. Tulikivi's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Declercq Stortbeton moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Belfius Namur. Tulikivi lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with four games lost. Declercq Stortbeton will face B.Willebroek (#6) at home in the next round. Tulikivi will play against Verviers-Pep. and hope to win that game.
