There was a surprise result when Capo d'Orlando (2-1) beat on the road Salerno (2-1) 89-81 on Sunday. Capo d'Orlando made 30-of-38 free shots (78.9 percent) during the game, while Salerno only scored eleven points from the stripe. Capo d'Orlando shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Salerno was plagued by 35 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for point guard Roberto Marinello (179-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points. Jacopo Pozzi (201-87) helped adding 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four Capo d'Orlando players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Paolo Paci (204-90) with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Marco Cucco (189-94, agency: Players Group) scored 18 points. Capo d'Orlando will face Battipaglia (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Salerno will play against Cassino (#9) and hope to win that game.
