Regular Season Round 4: Toyota A. - Toyota B SR 80-63

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Toyota A. (4-0) beat 8th ranked Toyota B SR (1-3) in Nagoya 80-63. It looked good early as Toyota B SR took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Toyota A. had a 20-6 second period charge getting the lead and Toyota B SR was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-80. Toyota A. dominated on the defensive end, holding Toyota B SR to just 6 points in second quarter. They made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. The former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Minaho Minamiminoru (167-93) chipped in 16 points. Guard Yui Kawahara (169-91) produced 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and center Eri Hatanaka (178-91) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Toyota A. have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fujitsu RW and JX-Eneos S. Toyota B SR lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with three games lost. Toyota A.'s next round opponent will be Denso Iris (#5) in Kariya. Toyota B SR will play on the road against Chanson V-M in Shizuoka and hope to win that game.
